As lockdown is easing we are being advised  from our governing bodies to treat those who are in need of urgent and emergency care.

To help see if you fit into this catagory we can use some of the following points as a guide:-

  • Your pain and symptoms are worsening and your symptoms are not improving as expected from personal measures you have taken such as advice, exercises, or medication.

  • Your pain would normally send you to your GP or to the  walk in at A&E

  • Simple daily activities are being affected by your symptoms.

  • You are unable to work or carryout important chores.

We are obliged to carry out a COVID-19 risk assessment:- here are the things we are doing to make you feel safe and comfortable.

  • We will be screening all patients before their appointment to ensure they do not have COVID-19 symptoms and that they are not high risk to others.

  • Your temperature will be taken upon entering the practice, if you have a high temperature you will be asked to come back 2 weeks after your temperature normalises

  • I will be wearing single use PPE (gloves, aprons and masks) for each appointment.

  • I  will be adding a break between each appointment to clean the clinic, entrance,  stair bannisters and toilet , door and sink handles using appropriate disinfectant.

  • I will be staggering my open times to allow 48 hours between set cluster of appointments. Rooms will be aired out and doors closed.
